Self Image I & II

We could define self-image ads the way we see and think about ourselves. It is an organizatyion of ideas collected from one's own conclusions of self and from others' observations of us. Self-image is the regulator of our actions and a key to realizing our potential.
From infancy, we learn what is "me" and what is not; we start to acquire a sense of our own identity. As we grow, we develop a more complex image of who we are. How we see ourselves is heavily influenced by "significant others" and significant emotional events in our lives. In our later years, we begin to see ourselves through our interactions with others based largely on how others see us. We learn, from the reactions of others what our qualities are and the value or worth of these qualities. We learn that what we fo well and those things we do not do so well as viewed by others.
All of our behaviour - what we do, what we say, what we allow ourselves to dream, is subordinate to our self-image. This self-image, although all present, is by no means unchangeable. Only through understanding, effort and desire can it be formed to our purposes.
We cannot consistently do what is inconsistent with our self-image. Fix the image and obtain a new result.
